Born and raised on the Gold Coast, Bodhi Uwland came through the SUNS Academy system before earning his opportunity at AFL level. A medium defender, Uwland has become known for his competitiveness, reliability and ability to play important defensive roles for Gold Coast.
After debuting in 2023, Uwland quickly established himself as part of the Suns’ backline. His development was recognised in 2024 when he became the least experienced player in Gold Coast history to place in the club’s best and fairest count, underlining the impact he had made early in his AFL career.
Uwland continued to build on that momentum, lifting his output across disposals and marks while becoming a consistent presence in defence. As a local Academy graduate, he represents an important success story for Gold Coast’s talent pathway and remains a key part of the club’s next generation.
