Born and raised on the Gold Coast, Bodhi Uwland started out playing AFL for the Broadbeach Cats, and in 2021 was listed as one of Queensland's leading prospects in the AFL Draft. Not only did Uwland represent the Gold Coast Suns in their NAB league games, but also in their VFL program, tallying up a total of six games across the year
Fast forward to October 2021, Uwland was announced for a pre-selection signing to the Gold Coast Suns rookie list for the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
