Create an experience with Tahlia Hickie

A Brisbane local, Tahlia was selected by the Brisbane Lions with Pick 28 in the 2019 NAB AFLW Draft.

After making her debut for the Lions in the 2020 NAB AFLW Semi-Final, Tahlia Hickie had the chance to pull together her first full season in 2021 which included a Premiership with the Lions. 

Her continuous improvement and development saw the Ruck save her best till last with a stunning Round 9 performance against Melbourne earning her a Rising Star nomination. The Lions Academy product possesses a powerful vertical leap and excellent endurance making her an asset in the Lions midfield.

2022 saw Tahlia continue to take big strides by playing yet again another full season and the team falling short on back-to-back premierships. She was recognised for her efforts and was named in the 22under22 team by the AFLPA. Also achieving her best result yet in the Club Best & Fairest finishing 4th.

Interest & Hobbies

Outside of sports, Tahlia has a passion for collecting vinyl records and live music. Tahlia is currently studying a Bachelors of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
