Born in New Zealand, Ange and her family made the move across to Australia when she was 3 years old.
Having grown up playing soccer in the southern suburbs of Perth, Ange joined the Perth Glory W-League team in 2015. Across her 2 seasons at the club she featured in 6 games.
In 2019, Ange joined the Fremantle Dockers AFLW team as a rookie signing. Stannett is as reliable as she is skilful. The 29-year-old finished sixth in Fremantle’s Fairest and Best in 2021 as she impressed one-on-one and with her ability to rebound off half back. She was awarded the ‘Best Clubwoman’ award, recognising her ability to always put the needs of the Club first. Ange went on to win Fremantle's Fairest and Best in 2023 after a break out season in the midfield and small forward role. Unfortunately, Ange suffered an ACL injury in 2024 however despite this, was voted in by her peers as club Captain for 2024. Ange made her return to footy in 2025 where she continued to lead her group and play consistent footy.
