Despite growing up in the eastern states, David played AFL instead of rugby because of his father’s love for the game. At 14, Armitage made his senior debut for his local club, booting 5 goals in a display of dominance. To nurture his potential, David moved down to Brisbane and played state footy for the Queensland under 18’s side.
In the off season, David love to go back up North for fishing and camping trips where he can take it easy and relax with a couple mates.
