Jamie Bennell is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Melbourne Football Club and the West Coast Eagles. Originally from Bunbury, Western Australia, was recruited by Melbourne in the 2008 National draft, Spent 8 years in the system and managed 87 games along the way.


Throughout his career, Jamie dealt with different adversaries along the way, but learnt from these and shaped him to where he is today and the person he is. 


Bennell has worked for the AFL Players Association as the Indigenous Relationships manager where he worked across the league with all Indigenous AFL/AFLW players. 

Now currently Hawthorn Football Clubs Indigenous Player Development Manager and Head of Indigenous Affairs 


He is passionate about motivating Indigenous people into work and teaching kids health and fitness and the importance of education
