About me

Emma Bristow Seven-times Women’s Trials World Champion In 2014 Emma Bristow became the first British rider to win the FIM Women’s World Trials Championship and from that day on, the Sherco factory star has never looked back. The 31-year old from Boston, Lincolnshire is now a nine-times world champion, having won the world trials title an impressive seven times as well as two world SuperEnduro championships. She has also won the Women’s British Trials Championship 10 times, making her arguably one of the UK’s most successful female athletes. Although 2021 saw Emma lose her world crown for the first time since 2014, she scored her maiden win against the men in the Expert British Open Class and finished second overall. She now has her sights set on winning that title outright. She will, of course, be seeking to reclaim her grip on the world championship when the 2022 season kicks off in Motegi, Japan on May 20. Born into a family with a love for two wheels, Emma started riding motorcycles at the age of four at her grandfather’s farm in Lincolnshire. She excelled on the national stage right from the word go winning the first event and championship she competed in. Her international debut came in 2006, and in 2014 she picked up her first of many titles by winning both the FIM Women’s World Trials Championship and the FIM Women’s SuperEnduro World Championship. A true perfectionist and motivated by winning, Emma has always had her sights set on breaking records and in 2021 she broke the record of the most number of GP wins by a female rider with a total of 34. She also has 50 podium finishes to her name. Emma has also shown herself as a true role model on and off-track, helping to inspire other girls to take to two-wheel motorsport.
