Create an experience with Dave Sawtell

My name is Dave Sawtell and I was born with Spina Bifida, which has developed into paraplegia. Despite my health challenges, I have not and will not let my condition define me or stop me from achieving my dreams.

Over the years, as my condition has worsened, my motivation to succeed has increased – both medically and professionally. Thankfully, I have connected with an innovative Australian company called Niagara Therapy, which develops and manufactures a range of groundbreaking products to help reduce pain and increase mobilisation. With the help of Niagara, I have augmented my sporting goals and am focused on some big hairy audacious goals.

I have amassed a slate of state, national and international achievements within golf, in addition to weight lifting and paddling achievements. A full list of my achievements are listed on my ‘About Dave’ page.

In addition to achieving further goals in sport, and assisting others through motivational speaking, I also hope to inspire and motivate children with disabilities to pursue their golfing goals. As a level one community goal coach, I like to spend my time teaching golf, life coaching and attending golfing days.

My next goal is to beat my own world record for Para Long Drive, which I will attempt in USA later this year.

I hope I can share the power of ‘never giving up’ across the community as I continue to pursue my dreams.
