Australia's biggest Mexican restaurant chain, Zambrero, is well-known for its campaign to eradicate world hunger. In the lead up to World Food Day, Zambrero came to Pickstar in search of a socially-conscious athlete who could assist them in promoting the cause.

The Brief

Zambrero required Olivia to deliver various tasks which included:

  • 2-4 media interviews during the pre-promoting window or on World Food Day
  • 2 static posts across social media

    Solution

Fuelled by their goal to donate 1 billion meals by 2025, Zambrero wanted to call on Australians to join with them to fight the world hunger crisis.

In 2018, with the help of an army of volunteers, Zambrero was successful in packing over 400,000 nutritious meals during their World Food Day event to donate to people in need.

A year later, Zambrero wanted to pack even more meals, so decided to enlist the help of high-profile ambassadors who could help boost attendance in each state.

Pickstar identified Olivia Vivian as the perfect fit due to her previous charity and fundraiser work as well as her well-known advocation around nutrition and health.

Olivia is a former Olympic Artistic Gymnast and Ninja Warrior with an ability to inspire and motivate those around her, and when she received the offer from Pickstar, Olivia was happy to accept.

      Outcome

Olivia promoted the event via her social media channels in a range of different posts.

With Olivia's help, Zambrero were able to smash their goal of 450,000 packaged meals by donating a grand total of 460,254 meals around Australia.

Pickstar's marketplace of over 1,700 athletes includes a broad range of high-profile stars who would make fantastic brand ambassadors for your next campaign.
