After 8 seasons of professional rugby, traveling the world, captaining his country at every level and playing in the premiership. Alex’s talents were discovered by NFL scouts.
Jumping at the challenge of changing sports, he signed for the Atlanta Falcons, the previous years Super Bowls finalists. Becoming not only the first player to switch sports from Rugby Union but in only his second season became the first ever international player to captain an NFL team.
Alex has played a significant role in the pioneering of the NFL’s International Players Programme. Helping other players from around the globe realise their dream of playing in the NFL.
With a passion for inspiring others through his actions on the field he also has a keen interest in helping people believe they are capable of whatever they set their mind to, aswell as being an advocate for the importance of good mental health, often taking part in campaigns for mental health charities.
