Litsa Adamou

Award winning Litsa Adamou is the first licensed female building inspector in South Australia, at House Inspect Australia. Litsa and her team currently undertake over 3,500 inspections annually across their B2B and B2C clients.

Litsa is a proud mum to daughter Ana, 13 and son Yianni, 12 and works alongside her partner in life and business, Barney Adamou. Her family are her 'why' and the reason why she strives to lead by example and balance work and life.

Litsa’s success as a female in a male dominated industry has led her to be recognised with numerous awards and nominations. The most recent accomplishments; Top 50 Australian Small Business Leaders 2022, 3 time 2022 Ausmumpreneur Winner and the 2022 SA Telstra Best of Business Award in the category of Accelerating Women and 2022 Telstra Best of Business Award National Finalist.

Litsa’s award winning story has not been without its challenges. She has had to work harder to prove her capabilities in order to gain the recognition and respect that any industry professional deserves. Nevertheless, Litsa saw the challenges she faced as an opportunity to showcase her skills and to carve the pathway for other women in the industry or considering entering the industry. 

Litsa is passionate about giving back to her industry by sharing her learnings and advocating for skillset-based recruitment in order to help women start or build their career in the building industry, find their work life balance and support males in the building industry looking to retain or hire women.
