Lachie Smart

At just 18 years of age Lachie Smart became the youngest person to fly solo around the world, in a single engine aircraft. With the mission named Wings Around the World, Lachie set out to prove to other young people the power of hard work and persistence. 

The journey took nearly 2 and a half years to plan, 54 days to fly and nearly half a million dollars in fundraised cash and services. Overcoming threats of arrest, huge storms and challenging flight conditions, Lachie reached millions around the world and began redefining the capabilities of today's generation.

Lachie now works with organisations to objectively examine and redefine their relationship with the next generation. Developing the leaders of the future by using his experiences of surviving life threatening moments to directly impact resilience, persistence and leadership skills.

In addition to speaking, Lachie is also the General Manager of Smartline Medical, a QLD based medical equipment manufacturing company exporting to 20 countries around the world.
