Michael Johnson is a former Fremantle Dockers AFL player, being drafted at pick 8 in the 2004 pre-season draft from Perth Football Club. Johnson has been a member of the AFLPA Indigenous Advisory Board since 2014. Johnson was selected by Fremantle in the 2004 pre-season draft where he has since played more than 200 games. The Veteran was runner up best and fairest in the 2006 season and received an All-Australian selection in the 2013 season.
He retired at the end of 2018 and is now the Fremantle Docker's offical Indigenous and Multicultural Liaison Officer. Michael is a mentor who works within the Academy space at the club. This involves travelling throughout remote WA to identify young talent and mentoring them.
