Ben O'Donnell is a part of the Australian Rugby 7's team that has qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Most Sevens players are schoolboys stars that take an alternate path to the professional realm but O'Donnell was spotted at a Uni Games tournament that was little more than a laugh for all involved, post stints at Lindenwood University College in St. Louis, Missouri, USA and a season playing for Ordizia Rugby in the Division de Honor in San Sebastian, Spain.
O'Donnell now has 18 tournament caps (92 games), 1 Commonwealth Games - Gold Coast 2018 and 1 Sevens World Cup - San Fransisco 2018 to his name and in a short space of time, he's shown more than enough to suggest he will be a cornerstone of the team for years to come.
Clovelly born and bred, Waverley College graduate, still based in the Eastern Suburbs.
