Shane’s meteoric rise from Bunyip Football Club Best and Fairest in 2006 to AFL premiership player in 2012 is a remarkable story and he is now a genuine star of the game.
Mumford was a part of the 2012 Sydney Swans premiership team.
His move from the Sydney Swans to Greater Western Sydney in 2014 has seen him take his game to a new level and is considered by many to be the best ruckman in the AFL. Shane was originally selected by Geelong with their last pick in the 2007 Rookie Draft. After his selection, Shane went about transforming himself into an AFL footballer and shed 20 kilos before the start of the 2008 pre-season.
