At the age of 19, Alyssa became the youngest Australian to ever climb Mount Everest. A journey that took many years of hard work, planning and preparation to achieve a lifelong dream. It also involved multiple setbacks including natural disasters that cancelled initial attempts to climb the mountain.

Her journey began years prior when she became the youngest person to cross the Kokoda Track at the age of 8 years old. Alyssa has climbed around the World on some of the planet's toughest mountains and expeditions to remote locations such as the Andes mountains in South America, the Himalayan mountains in Nepal and Tibet as well as climbing in Russia. 

Alyssa has successfully climbed Mount Everest twice, becoming the youngest woman in the World to climb both sides of the mountain – the North and South routes on Everest.
