David Campese, fondly known as 'CAMPO', is etched into the fabric of international rugby history. Widely regarded as one of the greatest rugby union players of all time, Campo's impact on world rugby is immeasurable. His unique style of play, marked by his lightning-fast speed and impeccable footwork, he created the infamous 'Goosestep' that captivated audiences and left opponents in awe. He became known as 'The Wizard of Oz' - an opponent's worst nightmare with his fearless risk taking and unpredictability.
With a career representing the Wallabies and Australia for over 15 years, Campo's achievements on the field are nothing short of exemplary. He played in 3 Rugby World Cups - '97, 91 & 95 and played a key role in the Wallabies success in the Rugby World Cup of 1991, where he was awarded Player of The Tournament. He has received numerous rewards for 15s and 7s's rugby including being inducted into the IRB Hall of Fame, becoming a Rugby Centurion, being awarded an Australian Medal (AM) and being named as one of the Hong Kong Magnificent 7’s, alongside the iconic late Jonah Lomu honouring the worlds greatest rugby 7‘s players. He continues to receive recognition and awards despite being retired for over 20 years.
Campo's legacy extends beyond his playing career. He now travels the world as an inspiring keynote speaker sharing his story and partnering with businesses as an ambassador to help grow their profile and network.
